Using the Wisconsin Post High School Outcomes Survey in a Non-Compliance Year

The Wisconsin Post High Outcomes Survey process and website was designed to assist districts in meeting the data collection requirements of SPP Indicator 14, but is also available for districts to use in a non-compliance monitoring year. Districts are encouraged to use the post high school outcomes website in non-compliance years to gather valuable information and to assist with assessing district outcomes improvement activities.

Over 100 LEAs in Wisconsin have voluntarily used the outcomes survey process to assess the local outcomes of former district students and have used that information to make program and planning decisions that improve the outcomes of individuals with disabilities.

Using the Outcomes Website
Directions for using the outcomes website will vary based on when you wish to conduct your outcomes interviews in relation to when the students you want to interview have exited high school. Depending on the type of information your district wants to gather, former district students can be interviewed one to five years after they have exited high school, and can also be re-interviewed at a later date.

Six years of data will be maintained on the website to provide maximum flexibility of use. For example, a district could interview exiters in March 2008, and interview another group of exiters in March 2011 to determine if a planned intervention was successful. Or, the March 2008 former students could be re-interviewed in March 2010 to assess how they are doing three years after exiting high school.

Browse the Post High School Outcomes website features and become familiar with the survey components. Determine if this process will meet your district's needs. If this site meets your needs, request a Username and Password. After receiving your Username and Password, log in and follow the Survey Directions between January and April of the survey year.
